The Blackpool Air Show is incredibly popular, meaning traffic and parking can get busy around the promenade on both days. To make the most of your visit, here are a few tips:
- Cycle along the promenade – A scenic, stress-free way to reach the show without worrying about queues or parking.
- Hop on the tram from Starr Gate – Avoid the traffic and enjoy a straightforward ride that drops you close to the action.
- Catch a train from Ansdell or St Annes stations – It’s just a short walk from Blackpool’s main train station to the promenade.
- Walk if you’re staying nearby – It’s often quicker than driving on event days.
- Bring a picnic or reserve a table – Grab a spot on the beach with your own picnic, or book ahead at one of the popular seafront restaurants like The Beach House for great views of the display.
Best Viewing Spots for Blackpool Air Show 2025
Getting there early is always a good idea, as the best viewing spots fill up fast and you won’t want to miss a second of the aerial action.
- North Pier & Central Pier: Fantastic central viewing areas close to the action.
- Tower Festival Headland: Often the busiest, but gives an uninterrupted view of the aerial displays.
- South Shore near Starr Gate: Usually less crowded and perfect for families who want a bit more space.
- On the beach: A classic choice – set up a blanket or chair, enjoy fish & chips, and watch the planes overhead.
